Setting up modelflow as a provider

Activate provider mode, publish maps and give your clients seats.

← Help Providers

1. Activating provider mode

Sign in to the provider portal with your Microsoft 365 account and activate provider mode there. You need the permission to manage provider mode.

2. Publishing maps

Create your maps in Excel as usual. They appear in the provider portal, where you can publish them for your clients. You need the permission to edit maps.

When you publish a new version of a map that is already published, you decide whether it replaces the older one or is offered alongside it.

You can also remove a published version. Your clients can then no longer choose it for new runs, but runs already in progress still finish.

3. Adding clients

First check your client’s domain in the provider portal. The check shows whether the client uses Microsoft 365 and which of the domains you entered belong to it. All of a client’s domains go into one entry.

Then enter the number of seats and, if you like, your own reference such as your client number, and add the client. Adding the client buys the seats.

Domains of your own organisation cannot be added. If a client does not use Microsoft 365 yet, the client is saved anyway and checked again regularly. If domains belong to different organisations, create a separate entry for each.

4. Changing seats and removing clients

You change seats and remove clients directly in the client list. If a change fails, try again later.

5. What your clients see

Once they have installed modelflow using the guide, your clients sign in with their Microsoft 365 account and find your published maps right in modelflow. They do not have to enter any payment details.

Your clients can assign the seats to the people they want themselves. Because free seats are assigned automatically at first sign-in, they usually go straight to your users anyway.

6. If a payment fails

If a payment fails, the provider portal tells you. If the invoice is not paid, your clients lose access to your seats and maps until it is.

7. Syncing with your CRM

You can also sync your client list with your CRM automatically. The documentation explains how.
